Episode Outline

So my earlier insistence that tonight's recap of Prison Break was going to be late because I wanted to hang onto my social life turned out to be empty talk. Instead of seeing my friends, I was in an emergency room getting x-rays for my knee. It seems if you take a pretty serious fall on Front Street in Toronto on Monday, it could end up as an inflamed (but fortunately not fractured) knee by Friday. The progressively excruciating pain was the first clue and I thought "hey, what better way to spend a Friday night than in emerg?" Fortunately, all of my complaints about universal healthcare in Canada have been rescinded, because it only took 70 minutes to check in, get x-rays and be seen and diagnosed by a doctor. Trust me when I say that 70 minutes of turnaround time in a hospital emergency room is very impressive. So here I am, with my knee elevated, as instructed, watching Prison Break because I can't really walk anywhere. Let's recap this, shall we?

We open with Christina's sniper being given the order to shoot Lincoln. Fortunately for Linc, he ducks behind some trees and he brought reinforcements, namely Self and Mahone, who quickly spot the sniper and go after him. Mahone and the sniper get into a gunfight and.....I've never really understood gunfights. It's just a huge waste of bullets. People are barely aiming. Can't they try to really set up a shot or get the guy from behind or something? Anyways, the sniper escapes from the roof and Mahone chases him into the stairwell and still no one is shooting anyone.

Then the sniper is caught by Linc, who choses to grab his gun and turn it on him instead of beating him to a bloody pulp like he usually does. Lucky sniper. Linc's question of "where's Christina?" goes unanswered because some idiot bystander starts shouting "call the police!" and the sniper manages to cut Linc's arm and take off. Uh-oh. Now you've really pissed him off, sniper. And as a punishment some random guy hits the sniper with his car and knocks him unconscious (maybe dead). Linc and Mahone steal his cellphone and take off in a getaway car driven by T-Bag.

Sara enters a friend's condo in Miami and says she and Michael can hide out there for awhile because Deb (the friend) only uses it in the winter. She stares at family photos hanging on the wall and says "so this is what life NOT on the run looks like, huh?" Well, she doesn't, but even Michael can tell she's longing for something more normal. He tells Sara they could have that too someday and it's all very awkward. My co-worker thinks that Sara and Michael don't really have much chemistry and while that might not be true, you have to admit that their relationship has been weird and awkward from the beginning. According to Keanu in Speed "relationships based on intense circumstances rarely work out". Of course, we all know that's not going to be true in this case, but you gotta wonder if something like this happened in real life, would we really expect Michael and Sara to be together forever? Perhaps the danger is the real allure and without it the relationship would fall apart. I don't know. I'm analyzing this way too much.

Anyways, Sara goes to hide out in the bathroom and....is she pregnant? She searches through Deb's medicine cabinet (rude!) and pulls out a pregnancy test. Yeah, she's totally pregnant. And how bloody fertile is Deb that she just happens to have pregnancy tests lying around in her bathroom?

Back in LA, Pad Man is meeting with Stuart Tuxhorn, one of the Scylla cardholders. Pad Man tells Stuart that Scylla is in Miami and someone is trying to turn the cardholders against him and Oren tried to kill him. Pad Man says they've dumped Stuart's cell phone and have seen some suspicious phone calls. Stuart denies all knowledge and then basically calls Pad Man a whack job. Big mistake, because Pad Man's goon strangles Stuart.

Back at their nice hotel, Linc and the boys are trying to comb through the sniper's cell phone. Pad Man calls Linc, basically to chat about the weather.....ok, he's actually seriously pissed and wants Scylla. He also wants Linc to stop "killing as many of them as [he] can" (since Linc tells him the sniper is dead), but Linc's all "bitch, please". Pad Man wants answers TODAY. In that case, he should have called Michael, because this is not Lincoln's forte. Lincoln's forte IS killing as many of these goons as he can. When he hangs up, T-Bag asks why Linc didn't admit that Christina had Scylla, but Linc tells him to shut up.

Mahone decides that it's best for them to keep their knowledge of Christina from Pad Man.

Michael, meanwhile, is trying to decide the message they stole from Christina's henchman who he killed in the previous episode. He manages to figure some stuff out, but the word Rockwell is puzzling. Sara suggests they do a search for it and Michael wonders if Linc has already figured it out, since he's been in Miami for 3 days and has Company resources. Oh, Michael. How you overestimate your brother. Michael realizes that some of the numbers and letters correspond to him (MS), but he can't figure out who VS is. But we can. He's some guy (name still unknown), who has the letters VS engraved on his briefcase. Oh, how clevar, Writers. Using a double entendre for your episode title. I thought VS meant "versus", but I guess it also means a person.

Downey tells Christina that Lincoln got away and Christina is NOT pleased.

Mahone and Self are talking to some Company tech guy and trying to track numbers in the sniper's cell. Linc gets a text message from Michael, asking him to meet him at the marina. Linc flashes back to the fact that his brother put his own damn life on the line to BREAK HIM OUT OF PRISON, but is still unmoved. Nice, Lincoln. He tells Mahone he's not going to meet Michael.

Instead, Mahone arrives at the marina to meet with Sara and Michael. Mahone tells Michael that Christina has Scylla and tried to kill Linc and Michael shouldn't stick around Miami with some "half-baked plan" and.....excuse me? Have these people been in the same show that I've been watching? Michael overestimating Linc and thinking he's smarter than he is and Mahone saying something about Michael having half-baked plans? WTF? None of that has EVER happened in this show. Mahone says they can save their families and take down the Company and he's coming up with a plan on the fly. Michael says they're going to take down the Company with or without his help and Mahone walks off.

Back at Deb's condo, Michael is thinking out loud about Christina's plans. Sara gives Michael an address for Rockwell Avenue in South Miami.

Meanwhile, Linc and the others are driving to locate the guy who was calling the sniper. They arrive at the Indian Embassy and we see Downey and Christina arriving. Mahone suggests they create a distraction which, naturally, will involve guns.

T-Bag arrives at the gate of the embassy and demands to see the president. Then he starts talking about elephants and this is a totally brilliant distraction. T-Bag even handcuffs himself to the gate and the boys use some high tech toys to break into the embassy. While the cavalry comes to try to pry T-Bag away from the gate the boys have made their way into the building. They send T-Bag a message that they're in and T-Bag goes to leave, but he gets carted off and put into a van.

Christina greets an embassy official (Naveen) and shows him Scylla. She tells him about the desalination technology and vaccines that Scylla can provide and he says there's a rumor that Scylla was taken from Pad Man. Still, the guy's willing to talk.

Christina tells Naveen that he needs to show up at the Progressive Energies conference tomorrow and present information contained on Scylla. Naveen warns that Dr. Vincent Sandinsky (VS!) has some thoughts that their project won't work. He wants to hear his presentation at the conference tomorrow. Christina clearly believes that her goon will take care of Mr. VS and kill him before he has time to ruin her plans with his lectures and begins playing some hardball with Naveen. Naveen asks for a minute to make a decision and Christina tells him that Sandinsky won't be a problem.

Michael and Sara arrive at Rockwell and find a car spot and a car indicated on the note. Michael breaks into the car using a coat hanger (is it STILL that easy to jack a car these days?). Inside, they find the car keys, along with a map to the Everglade Memorial Airport and a gun. Michael quickly supposes that someone named VS is flying into the airport at 4:30, which is completely right.

Self and the others are making their way through the embassy when they're stopped by a big goon with a gun.

Downey tells Christina that they need to leave because Lincoln is in the building, but Christina wants to stay and close her deal. Linc, Mahone and Self are escorted into a room and ordered to stay put. Meanwhile, Naveen returns and agrees to the deal with Christina. Downey packs up and he and Christina leave.

Mahone quickly realizes that they've been set up and no one's going to kill them in an embassy. So he and the other boys escape from the room. As they leave the embassy, Christina asks whether her (dead) goon is on his way to get Sandinsky. As they leave, Linc, Self and Mahone are cornered by an embassy guard, but when they say they're with Christina, the guard gives Linc a note that Christina read a few minutes before saying Sandinsky was arriving at 4:30.

Sara and Michael, meanwhile, are headed to the airport when they get the call from Christina. Mommy Dearest recognizes his voice, says his name and then hangs up.

Linc and the others arrive back at their hotel to find T-Bag covered in blood and bruises. He's pissed that he took a beating and they didn't get their hands on Scylla. Mahone decides to call the Company about Sandinsky.

Michael and Sara arrive at the airport and Sara heads to the bathroom again. Sara's acting all weird (dizzy?) and rejoins Michael. Michael wants them to get their hands on the flight log and Sara goes to chat up the guy at the desk about flying lessons and Michael swipes the flight log. Such lax security at these airports, especially post 9/11.

As Michael goes through the logs Sara notices that some of Christina's goons have arrived at the airport, but Michael finds Vincent Sandinsky's name in time and they split.

Back at the hotel, Mahone's managed to get Sandinsky's name and the boys head to the airport.

Meanwhile, Michael holds an operations guy at gunpoint and gets him to relay messages to the tower and the plane about where Sandinsky's plane should land. Michael has the operations guy tell security to let Sara onto the tarmac to help a patient (Sandinsky). Linc, meanwhile, is quickly heading to the airport and Christina's goons are closing in. The operations guy tells Michael "you could go to prison for this" and Michael's all "which one?", which cracks me up every time. Because it's like saying he's saying "I haven't met a prison yet that could hold me", which is true.

Sandinsky's plane arrives just where Michael wanted it to be (which is also away from Christina's goons who quickly catch on) and Sara and Michael kidnap Sandinsky. Christina's goons come driving up behind Sara and Michael's car. Their car is boxed in and Christina's goons pull guns on them and order them out of the car. The goons get ready to kill Michael and Sara but Mahone saves the day! YES! NICE!

Self drags off Sandinsky and Michael asks what Lincoln's going to do. There's a lot of brotherly tension, as opposed to the show Heroes where there's a lot of brotherly touching.

Turns out the boys left T-Bag alone at the hotel and he keeps staring at the photo of his mom. He calls Pad Man with some information: Christina Scofield has Scylla in Miami. Pad Man tells his goon to fuel the jet.

Back at the hotel, Linc, Mahone and the other boys are questioning Sandinsky. He says he's a professor from Dartmouth and he's here to give a short presentation at the Progressive Energies conference. Linc wants Sandinsky's cell phone, but it turns out that Michael swiped it. So now he's jacking cars AND picking pockets? He picked up all sorts of useful habits from his former Fox River buddies, didn't he?

Sara's going through Sandinsky's BlackBerry and finds that he and Christina have exchanged a lot of emails. Michael wants to know what she and Sandinsky were working on. Linc finds Sandinsky business card instead.

Sara heads to the bathroom, again, and finds out that she is, in fact, pregnant. She's not happy. Why not? The father of your baby is hot. And smart. What else do you want? Wait, ok, she's a little happy. She's just surprised.

Back at Christina's pad, she gets a call from Michael. Michael asks how badly she wants Sandinsky and then says he'll be in touch.

Back at the hotel, Mahone tells Sandinsky that his story checks out and once they verify some more information, they'll let him go. Sandinsky gives a nice creepy smile which completely ruins the innocent facade he put on a moment ago and since we already knew he was working with Christina, that's just going to get him killed unnecessarily. Smart move, Professor.

Well, my grandfather and Cousin Joe are MIA again this week. God only knows when we'll be able to get their take again. But now I'm tired so I'm out of here. See you all back here again next week, where apparently Christina's going to reveal some big secret to Michael that freaks him out. Any ideas? OMG, I just thought of this...what if Pad Man is Michael's father? Cause that would be crazy!
