Episode Outline
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...except on Prison Break where, if I can remember the crazy, ridiculous timeline, it's only about late summer or early fall.
Previously on Prison Break...there were about 15 double-crosses and Self went evil (without any foreshadowing whatsoever). Michael also used the Scofield whisper to tell Self to "come and get it".
Sara's injecting Michael again and Michael promises to visit the hospital after they retrieve Scylla.
Lincoln's checking out some warehouse (HQ?). He notices a match book on the floor and a car parked nearby. Sucre, meanwhile, is setting up something pursuant to Michael's instructions.
Michael calls Self. When he refuses to hand over Scylla, Self fires some smoke bombs into HQ and fires a barrage of bullets at Sara, Michael and Sucre when they attempt to flee. All of this means that they're trapped inside HQ, about to be gassed or shot. And yet, their day is going better than mine did.
Self and Michael taunt each other over the phone and Self continues to fire smoke bombs into HQ. He's soon stopped by Lincoln, who pistol whips him (awesome!).
Self is now inside HQ, surrounded by some angry people he betrayed and a bunch of guns. Gretchen then enters, with a machine gun. So far, her gun is the biggest. Self tells Michael that he devoted 17 years to serving his country and got nothing in return. Seriously? THAT'S the reason he went bad? It's a stupid reason. Anyways, he tells Michael they're very much alike (uh...no, because Michael wants to save his brother and his friends and take down The Company) and tells him about the buyer for Scylla. Self offers money to the team, but Michael passes.
Self tries again and Michael finally asks to meet with the Scylla buyer. Self and Gretchen leave while Michael tells the group that they're going to wait for Mahone to come through.
Coming through means Mahone is meeting with Lang (LANG!). God, why do I love Lang so much? She's just so awesome. Mahone tells her all about what they've been up to. She agrees to put him in touch with someone she trusts.
At The Company, Pad Man tells his Head Goon that although the team has Scylla, they don't have the capability to upload the information. He asks his goons to search for Gretchen too.
Back at Gretchen's sister's house (Rita) T-Bag is still standing guard over Rita and Emily. Rita sends Emily off to play and T-Bag laments about the fact that he's no longer a top salesman. Considering he hasn't really paid his debt to society, I don't think he should get his second chance.
Michael tells Linc that they're not going to be selling Scylla, while we see that Sucre is now hidden in the trunk of Self's car. We also notice that one of the gas canisters Self shot into HQ is actually allowing Self and Gretchen to spy on the team inside (it's like a video camera).
Sara tells Michael that he's building up a tolerance to the medication she's been giving him. I have a shirt that's almost identical to Sara's, but that's not really relevant. Sara tells Michael that Lincoln just wants to make sure he's ok (awe) and that Michael needs to stop being a crazy, fanatic martyr.
Self and Gretchen park and leave their car at a hotel and Sucre quickly exits the trunk, grabbing one of the gas canisters.
Michael is in the bathroom, preparing to inject himself with that drug, but Linc interrupts. Michael tells Linc that he has no regrets for what he's done (except for, you know, all the people that died, which Michael still feels bad for). Michael hides the Scylla chip in the ceiling of the bathroom and Self sees all of that on his computer.
Gretchen demands to speak with her daughter before calling Vikan. Self then tells T-Bag that he will be calling him shortly, otherwise he should kill Rita and Emily.
Two seconds later, someone knocks on Rita's door. Those Jehovah Witnesses sure have timing, don't they? Haha! It IS a religious salesman, trying to peddle bibles. T-Bag notices a signet ring on his finger and punches him out, insisting that he's Company.
Lang meets up with Mark Wheeler (the FBI guy who nearly betrayed Mahone in Season 2) and shows him to Mahone in a diner. Wheeler is a little jerk to Mahone, but may be willing to help. Mahone tells him that DHS and the FBI have moles, so he needs Wheeler to get to the Attorney General. Mahone leaves the table to make a call.
Mahone calls Michael with the news about Wheeler. Sucre hands Michael the gas canisters he found and Michael's going to make some launchers out of pipe, hairspray and lighters.
Lisa Tabak hands her father her resignation. She tells him he's been a bad, bad daddy and he drives the knife deep by announcing he really wanted a son. Head Goon tells Pad Man they found Gretchen and Self.
The bible salesman insists that he's not part of the Company, despite the fact that T-Bag is beating him up and putting a gun to his head. Rita begs for the man's life.
Sucre and Sara arrive at the hotel where Self and Gretchen are hiding and they bribe the desk clerk for information. He directs them to room 308. Sara calls Michael to provide him with directions to their room and Linc goes to set up on an adjacent rooftop.
Self is on the phone with Vikan, who clearly isn't impressed with his social skills. The desk clerk tips off Self, who realizes that Michael has found them. Linc is setting up a makeshift rocket launcher on the adjacent roof while Michael is setting up something of his own and experiencing a nosebleed.
Gretchen goes into the hallway to do some recon and meets up with Sucre, who immediately proceeds to KICK. HER. ASS. Like big time. Normally, I don't like when boys hit girls, but I'm all for this!
Linc launches a smoke bomb into Self's room and he quickly vacates, coming upon the fight between Sucre and Gretchen. For a while, Gretchen appears to be winning, and so Sara smacks her on the head with a fire extinguisher. Self escapes down a fire escape and falls to the ground hard. Michael promptly punches him in the head and grabs his knapsack (which holds Scylla).
Linc is following Gretchen as she escapes outside and hides when Company goons appear and a gun fight takes place in the middle of an LA street. No one is even panicking. Gretchen manages to drive off in an SUV and the goons go off to pursue her.
Michael is running away with Scylla when he starts bleeding out of both nostrils and stumbling from dizziness. He finally collapses to the ground in an alley.
Self comes across Michael, takes back Scylla and prepares to shoot him. Self is attached by a Company goon and Gretchen manages to get him out of there. Two Company goons put an unconscious Michael in the back of a van and drive off, just as Lincoln arrives in the alley.
Sucre and Sara break into Self and Gretchen's room and see his computer and the security footage. They quickly realize they're after the Scylla chip and run off.
Gretchen and Self manage to retrieve the microchip from the warehouse.
Michael awakens in a medical room, strapped to a gurney. He hears a doctor saying he's been given some drugs, but fades away again. We see some man grabbing his hand. I think that man is Pad Man, but if he plans to take advantage of Michael when he's all helpless and tied down, he's going to have to form a line behind me and about 2,000 other girls.
Sara's crying about Michael back at HQ, while Linc assures her they're going to get him back. Mahone calls and asks about Scylla, but Linc tells him that Self has all of Scylla. He tells Mahone that the Company has taken Michael. Linc tells Mahone not to come back.
Back at the diner, Wheeler leaves, disgusted that Mahone didn't come through.
Michael is dressed in a hospital gown, being tested and put into an MRI. He comes to every once in a while to see people taking his blood and putting wires on him.
Self and Gretchen arrive on the foggiest bridge ever. T-Bag calls with some news: he's now got a hostage. Self orders T-Bag to kill the bible salesman and T-Bag orders Rita out of the room.
While T-Bag is preparing to kill the salesman, Rita reenters the room, begging T-Bag not to kill the man. T-Bag seems hesitant and then panics when Emily enters the room. T-Bag finally agrees not to kill the man once he proves he really is a bible salesman by quoting scripture. T-Bag lets Rita and Emily escape in her car and he cuts the salesman free. Of course, once the salesman is untied, he reveals that he IS a Company goon. He knocks T-Bag unconscious and calls his buddies.
The doctor is telling Pad Man about Michael's tumor and reveals that he has seen the same advanced tumor only once before. Lincoln arrives and tells Pad Man he wants to see Michael.
And then I spill a huge glass of water all over my coffee table and carpet. ARGH!!!!
Pad Man sends all of his goons (except the Head Goon) away until he and Linc are alone. Pad Man escorts Lincoln downstairs to see Michael.
Vikan arrives at the foggy bridge and tests Scylla. Turns out Scylla is now legit. Self then shoots Vikan and his accomplice, because the buyer is already on the way with the money.
The salesman, meanwhile, has T-Bag tied up. He then drags him out of the house.
Lang is back inside the diner and tells Mahone that he can talk to the Attorney General. Mahone is very hesitant about getting into the back of Wheeler's car, but capitulates. Mahone quickly realizes that he's not being taken to the Attorney General and that Lang lied to him. Lang, NO! I love you! Why have you betrayed me?! Mahone thanks Lang, who is crying, and they drive off (presumably to jail).
Pad Man takes Linc to see Michael, who is surrounded by doctors and nurses. Pad Man tells Linc that they're willing to save Michael's life if Linc will retrieve Scylla for them. He also hands Linc a file called "Tombstone II", which is supposed to be an "added incentive".
Unfortunately, we don't learn what's in the file. Turns out my grandfather forgot about the show again (he is almost 80 after all), and he hung up on me in his attempt to run to the TV. Some thoughts: I am concerned that Mahone is going back to jail and, possibly, is off the show. I have grown to love Mahone, so he better find some way to escape and help the rest of the team. Now I'm off to wrap some Christmas presents. As I said before, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
