Prison Break Writers to Create New Show

Former Prison Break writers/producers Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora are working on developing a new show for Fox.  According to Variety, the show is called "Break Out Kings," and is described as "a drama project revolving around ex-fugitives who are recruited to work as U.S. marshals."  Variety only gives a few more details about the show:

 

Network has given the 20th Century Fox TV project a script order with a hefty penalty attached if it doesn't go to pilot. Olmstead and Santora penned the pilot. Gavin Hood, helmer of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," is attached to direct and exec produce.

 

Project is described as a procedural based in Gotham, but the team will move around the country as it works on specific cases.

 

Olmstead was the showrunner and exec producer of "Prison Break" for its four-season run on Fox. Santora was a co-exec producer on the show.

I can't stop watching PB's last episode... the "after 4 years" scenarios.. It always makes me sooo sad..I can't get over the fact that Michael died. And he wasn't even able to see his son that looks so much like him.. especially the part that the kid got a tattoo and Sarah told him "oh you're so tough" I cant stop crying.. WHY?!?!? I should feel happy now that they're all free, instead I feel so sad. I wonder how Sara keeps it all in, being alone with their kid.. I just wished Michael was still there, to actually experience freedom, but no, he died still IN prison.. anyway, im very sentimental.. so Kudos to PB!

i love prison break than any other movie in the world.its the best.the characters i like so much is micael scorefield,lincoln borrows and fernando sucre.

I am really REALLY missing PB. I think that show was fabulous. I would really like to see it keep going, and for Michael Scoldfield to be alive. I have the perfect way of keeping the show going. They can fake his death in order to hide him from being hunted.... And BAM...Michael is BACK!ALIVE. they should NOT have killed him in the show..HE WAS the show!

KEEEEEEEEEP THE SHOW GOING!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!

I would like Prison Break to continue on, I love all the characters in there. They chose them well when pb started, Michael and Lincoln are the best. Would not mind watching the new series writers are planning but I want pb to be back for good!!

I really miss Prison Break and I can't wait top see what the writers have in store for us next! I surely hope that when they are writing Break Out Kings that it will be a spin off of Prison Break and they will use the same characters! Because I must say what a talented group of actors!

I don't know. What if the show is good and they kill the good guys at the end again. I'd only watch it if they bring back Sarah and Wentworth together. I love that couple.

This will be good. The writers are obviously amazing. It would be pretty cool if they brought backs some PB actors too.
