Did anyone else notice that Michael's tombstone said 1974-2005 whereas, Linc had said in that episode where he found the picture left by his "mom" that Michael wasn't born until '76? Did the producers miss something? Shockingly sad ending by the way, still hoping that someway Michael pops ups and says "hey Guys, I'm here"

ive just watched what happened in episode 22 where michael and sara get married in tne beach. then later sara was convicted for killing christina.the story focuses on sara's imprisonedment.gretchen was alive too and in the same prison.
my question is, in the internet sites where we can find prison break and download it for free, i wonder why this scenes are not included? ive been too many sites, only 43 minutes for episode 22 where in fact its a two hour finale as per fox.so,the ones in the internet are just shortcut?after the scene where kellerman set him free,the scene jump to after 4yrs where michael died. i just know now that still a lot happens before 4yrs!

Wow...It really blew me away.. I cry my hardest after watching the show..Everybody has their own happy ending why on earth Michael and Sarah did'nt have theirs??He did'nt even met his son..How unfair is that? You need to have an explaination to that? The show started with a blast why did you end it like that??? wow......i just cant really explain,because words cant express a feeling. I just finished watching the finale and i cried. I cant believe it!!. It was a huge and bad surprise for fans like me. I don't really believe he is dead, the idea doesn't even exist in my world. Also,is this the last season for Prison Break?.

if michael died November 4, 2005 when he commited the robbery on March 9, 2005 then it doesnt seem right that the whole four series only took 8 months in terms of its time line it seems like a lot longer when if u think about it, it seemed like ages for them to get out of foxriver, then to run away, get to panama, break out, look for sylla, take down the company etc. it just seems a little stupid.

its not over yet folks.. Nobody dies in prison break until you see thier bullet riddled corpse hint hint.......

Hate the ending sooo much and everytime i watch i try to prevent myself from crying all over and keep reminding myself it's just a show ,but the writer did a horriable job by killing micheal at the end.
He didn't get the chance to even see his son (who by the way loks so much like him as if it's his reall son).
i don't care what the justification is the show could have ended in more happy way .
If they wanted him to die anyway the could have waited until his son was born and then let him die of the brain tumor,but at least after he and Sarah spend some time toghther afterall they've benn through hell.

i love this show but for the 1st time ever i hate it. I hate the ending so much. I cried like a baby the last 3 minutes and it's not even funny. Damn..WHY? And i noticed there's a lot of mistakes in this show. one is.. in ep17 lincoln said michael was born in 1976. but in his grave its august 1974. And lincoln also said michael just turned 31 but he died in april 2005. that means he hasn't turn 31 yet. Is this intentional maybe(smile) or the writers just being ignorant. Damn i need an alternate ending. After all this year this is what we get for being a loyal fan of this show. Why let michael have the surgery if he's gonna die anyway. Just one way of filling the time i guess huh..

The ending was extremely sad..Michael deserved some happiness after all what he has been through.
They could have happy ending 4 him 2 like all the rest & it would still great,if the writers wanted or just care about us as PB fans.
But anyway PB is the best show ever.
I loved Michael so much..but I love Went more..so I'm waiting 4 his new roles & I'll support him in anything.
Went is cute,telented,adorable...etc...so I'm praying 2 see him soon in other successful roles.

it was a good ending, though i cried (a little) when sarah and michael was in the beach where his nose bleed again and was discussing their future with their baby...
well, all's well that ends well. i am somehow convinced that the ending was great, well, what else could the ending be? for me, all angles were justified why the ending was like that. (getting emotional now!)

i really appreciate the character of mahone esp in the last 3 episodes. i love wentworth, at least i saw him smile in the whole series...esp with sarah in the picture again. his character is really great! i can't imagine those things! to the writer, the brains of the series, thanks!!!!

The ending was very bad, despite the fact that the whole episode was interesting for everybody except for Micheal. To me Micheal did not deserve what he got, afterall he worked for everything and he suppose to enjoy it. so what is essence of the surgery done by the company,when they know that micheal still die.

I think Pb was one of the greatest shows off all time!
I know most you would disagree but I lovd even Beliick, ed the way season 4 brought michael and linc together with their enemies Bellick and Mahone! also Sucre and Sara and the all stayed together and became close even after Bellicks death like many people say Prison Break was never about breaking out of jail it was about family and friends sticking together through the good times and bad! Michael, Mahone, Sara, linc, Sucre, and C-note showed that time and time again even though Sucre did leave a few time and said he wanted no part but at the end he always came back to help the brothers and working together set them all free!

Agree totally, Nigel. This series was never about breaking out of prison - it was breaking into the prisons we all know - whether they have physical walls or emotional ones. The key out is sacrificial love - "Havea little faith." That was Michael's test and he passed. In the end - Linc, Sucre, Mahone, Sarah, none of them would turn on Michael when they had opportunities. That's why we loved this show so much - the test of love - we feel it because we face it too, in less dramatic ways. What we sacrifice so someone else can be free. That's the heart of this series to me, and I believe it was what Wentworth was so excitedly sharing in the pre-season run up before Season 1.

Hi all been watching PB from day 1. Have to say we in the UK have not see the finale as yet on tomorrow night, however suspense killed me and i watched the ending on youtube. i gotta say this was by far the best ending that could happen. he sacrificed his own life for all his friends and family, and for someone to do that is a hero and thats what this series is about micheal becoming a hero and i think this is the best ever series i have ever seen prison break is the best... i think its a sad ending but all through the journey we were there with all the characters and sarah has micheal still by looking into the eyes of her son everyday.

I cried at the ending I just don't know how can they actually kill Michael and left Sara by herself? Yeah, she has Michael Jr. but, still Michael should be there with them not in the GRAVE!

I hated the ending how can they give everyone else a happy ending and not michael? He did everything for everyone made it possible to make them all live a good life and not him and sara? I love that show but, I think the ending SUCKS! whoever thought of killing Michael is an idiot!

Michael was a great person,his mistakes r nothing according 2 Alex,Paul or even Linc,but we saw all of them have happy ending.

I've got some good news. There'll be another movie. It deals with Abruzzi who is not dead. He is imprisoned in Sweden :-). He asks Michael for help. Michael, who is already dead as we know from the finale of season 4, sets up a new company. His company helps prisoners to escape.

You may now ask: But Michael is dead? No, not really. He is trapped betweeen our world and another world.

I can't wait to see it.

i had read the spoilers and so knew that perhaps Michael was going to die but i still hoped and believed that the writers wouldn't be so cruel. The only consolation is that he and sara had their moment. I have loved the show and am really going to miss watching it. Its one of the best shows i have ever watched and it goes without saying that went had me head over heels in love with him

Hi guys i think i noticed something interesting, if you look at micheals tombstone its says he was born in 1974 and died 2005 that makes him 31 years old, you know what that means, he didn't even live to see his son, i believe there is a twist to all of this because the writers cant be that cruel.
Cuz when he was getting the surgery from krentz he was turning 31 according to linc, the same age his mum allegedly died, dying that soon is to close for comfort, there must be something up!

I think we just have to wait and see.

We all love a happy ending.I didn't want to see Michael die,but it was fitting. The ending was great!!It was a great show!

Ok- I wanted a happy ending as well, but I did know right from series 1 that was not going to happen, there really was no redemption for Michael after all the things he has done. His death seemed to be the only fitting end for his character. I did not like the way they killed him off though. I wanted him to die a heroic death saving Sara and Lincoln, to just kill him off with a brain tumar at the end seemed a bit daft, last minute and did not give his character the respectful end he deserved.

That said I have not yet watched the last 5 minutes, I have stopped watching when Michael and Sara are on the beach so that I can still pretend they get their happy ending. Maybe in a week or two i will bring myself to watch the rest.

How cruel. Poor sara, left to fend for the child on her own. So much for "one day". It's funny the writers said Michael couldn't bear all the guilt from all the innocents who died. Mahone cold-bloodedly killed that boy ( i forgot his name, twinner or something, from season 1) and gets to live. What a huge dissapoinment. I know it's not real life, but heck they reel us in for 4 years, and this is what I get!

I don`t like the series finale, not because Michael died at the end. There are still some unanswered things:

1. How can they get Sara in jail after everbody was exonerated. By the way it was self-defense. She had to kill her to save Michael.

I feel like that the writers decided to "kill" Michael and to get Sara in jail to have a story for the movie on DVD. It does'nt fit. They want to sell more DVD's. That's the point.

2. How could Kellerman become a Congressman? That is stupid!! At the end of season 2 he was on death row.

Still sorting through timelines... Anyone remember the episode in season 2 that referenced 9/11? I remember a train coming over a trestle in the distance and a brief comment or picture remarking how everything had changed.

Before I started to watch "Heroes", this show was what kept me going on Monday nights. Overall the past season for me really hasn't disappointed, trying to get Scylla, getting it, having it stolen and getting it back again went over pretty well. The finale was a fitting end to this series which had some pretty memorable moments, Sucre in season 2 taking the 5 million dollars all for it to be an elaborate plan that Michael devised, to the episode with the tape, the episode in Vegas, and a whole lot more I can't think of now. The ending is controversial because it wasn't what everyone wanted, kind of like "Heroes", but the show was still a success in the end. I thought it was kind of funny that the guy in the prison that T-Bag passed was reading a book from Gate, at least that's what I thought it was. RIP Prison Break, you did good.

I'm pleased with this ending, good to at last see Prion Break become more believable and break free of all the whinging fanboys/girls who caused the writers to re-think their plot just to unconvicingly bring sara back from the dead.
To all of you people calling it a rubbish ending, ask yourself, is it because of the fact that they killed Michael off? Did you only watch the show for a happy ending? Prison Break isn't Finding Nemo and in the real world endings arn't always happy. Accept the writers descision to end Michaels run of unbelievable escapes and be happy that the show finally has some closure. Thankyou for the entertainment over the years Prison Break.

You know i was pretty pissed at the ending, but then i realized that normally the good guy always wins and here he didn't. i think that is what made prison break such a good show. It was a bittersweet ending I enjoyed very much!!

I seriously don't understand why everyone is freaking out over this. I love Prison Break so much and the cast works so hard everyday to bring us a good show. FOX is in charge of the script (Dominic said so in an interview) so whatever they want they get. I'm still happy with the finale even though Michael did die, I mean it is what it is. And I still love the show and very happy that the cast worked so hard to deliver a good show.

It would probably be so like PB to bring Michael back in the greatest twist in the Final Break, i.e., someone's comment about them faking the ceremony to hide him while he's going after some other organization - yet so unlike the reality this series captures.

I believe it has a fitting end now, and as much as I like the chemistry of the cast, I worry if they try to pull something else together. It has closure now. I don't know if I could emotionally keep up with any of them going through any more hell.

Last two series were really poor, they should have just left it at the end of season 2 like planned instead of dragging it out and producing such a rubbish ending!

Just watched it again for a second time...it was blatently a rushed script. and the final product no where on par with season one two or even three.

Killing micheal off wasnt a strategic idea...it was just either do a happy ending or a shock ending...

Excellent finale. Like few of us have already said, Prison Break has distinguished itself through its cliffhangers, its twists, its surprises. That's what we've loved about the show.

Sarah has been killed off once, and because of all you wining fans with no intellectual depth, the writers did the mistake of bringing her back without a suitable explanation. That was probably the only mistake the writers ever made. Because their jobs were being jeopardised by the fall in audience, so it became a matter of business vs story plot quality.

Us, the audience, are the pillars of TV shows, but now that it is over, accept it for what it is and appreciate the spirit which has always been tried to be trasmitted to us.
If you want Scofield alive, go watch the Sleeping Beauty or some Walt Disney happy ending story. Those stories have morals as their final message, the stories themselves are surreal.

PB has been able to present us, more or less, the world in which we live in today from quite a few perspectives. With no morals, simply because such values and principles have been lost throughout these years and they are very rare to find nowadays.
PB has left to us open judgement and interpretation.

Do not criticize, do not complain. Appreciate this show, which has given us intense emotions for the past 4 years.

by the way...Sky 1 has the Final Break on 27th May....

I must admit that I liked the ending. It seemed to be poetic justice for everyone. Michael was willing to die any number of times for his brother and Sarah. He knew happiness with Sarah ... he had a child.

I was also glad to see Mahone ended up happy with the sista-agent.

Nice to see the C-Note ended up as a family man living in suburbia someplace.

All in all, I enjoyed the series and thought that they brought it to a satisfactory ending!

Perhaps Michael Is Alive and The point is that they regularly go to the grave, and visit so that if "people" were to be looking for him, they would assume he died, Leaving him safe from harm.

Also, great job with the dialogue making references back to Fox River several times, and also to the conspiracy of The Company via Kellerman. The whole finala did an excellent job of rounging or looping the audience back to the beginning like a great book. Instead of just dropping us, it brings us back to the beginning to watch it all over again with deeper insights.

Sorry so many are upset here. One thing to note - once a character like Michael's becomes so much larger than life, filled with heroism, self sacrifice, risking it all, in stories like this it's worst than death having them go back normal living. i.e. Frodo

Thought it was a superb ending. Great seeing C Note - really was hoping to see him again. I knew we'd see Sucre. Mahone's assistant and Sophia were good to see too. But no LJ, Mari Cruz, or the Warden? Must have been contractual differences going on there.

Looking forward to the in between 2 hour episode due with DVD and also a future series with Michael Jr. once these or a fresh team of writers can catch there breaths.

i dont think anyone remembers the quote from the start of the season (i dont member it fully) but it was sumthin like to kill that six headed monster either six people have to do or the sacrafice of one person to save the others will kill it, im sure u no what im talking about. and the other thing is is that prison break has always been a show with twists and turns. the writers knew what we would expect and would then turn it so we got sumthing completely different. so they knew we wated a happy ending and flipped it. but in other ways it was a happy ending. you have to look deeper into the picture.

Worst ending of all TV shows ever, i mean why on earth mix had to die they could have sorted or made up any ending him being injured or anythiing but not to die they investerd in this character so much and finally for him to die is not fair and as many wrote he hadn't had the chance to see or father his son ,and he was unablle to make the promises he told and promised Sarah that he will do fpr her.
In my opnion the writers made a horriable ending they run out of idea by the end of the show.

it is so sad that Mic had 2 die. i have not watched the finals but with the story i read on net, i can see that Mic finally died and left Sara to morn his death and other loved once of his. And he was unable to father his child. it is unfair. i think T-bag is the one to die instead of Mic, General to FOX river instead of T-bag and killerman coming back to the show was out of it.
Mic helped his brother and it was not his fault that others followed him, he could not do it only.

Christina, Michael's "mom," has the same surgery as Michael and she lives God knows how many years. But Michael does not even get the chance to be a father. It's not fair. After all he did, all he sacrificed. I'm glad he got to bring down the company and exonerated all the people he cared about. He set everything right which was great. But killing him off wasn't necessary. I do not even know what to say. It just isn't fair.
