More Conflicting Spin-Off News

Despite my recent post from E!Online that there would be NO spin-off for Prison Break, we have information from IMDB that a spin-off will happen. Honestly, this is both confusing and somewhat ridiculous. We have no official confirmation from Fox about a spin-off yet the rumors can't seem to die. In the interest of providing full disclosure, here's the recent information that has surfaced.

 

There is now a page on IMDB about a show called "Prison Break: The Gretchen Morgan Files". Here's the plot summary: "A woman, framed by a secretive government agency known as the Company, is sent to a Panamanian prison to serve a life sentence. Once behind bars, the same organization contacts her with personal information that causes her to hatch an escape plan." Characters include Gretchen, her sister, her daughter and Pad Man.

 

The sitemistress from a Jodi Lyn O'Keefe fansite emailed the IMDB help desk, asking whether this information was legit. Someone there wrote back that as far as they know, the information is correct.

 

Well, I still don't believe this is confirmation of a spin-off.  If you want to see a screenshot of the IMDB help desk email click the picture below.  Sound off in the comments whether you believe this informatioin.

i certainly agree to you guys, except of course to those people who would want a spin-off.. like i said, i think the writers are looking to extend the series.. and they're finding for a way to start a hype.. but again, if that's what they want they should stick to the title and the main characters.. get them all back to prison cell.. that's the only way to get a new hype..

The name "Prison Break: The Gretchen Morgan Files". " sound uninteresting in the first place.

But im still gona watch it LOL!

First things first. The title itself sounds dumb, dont get me wrong i love the show but the idea of a spinoff sounds kinda ridiculous. It just wouldnt be the same.

There's no meaning of PB without Misa & linc.
I won't watch any spin off without them.
It would be better to end the story with happy endig than continue it with main character as Gretchen!!! It doesn't make any sense,if the writers do that!!!!!!

That looks real shady. Anyone can edit IMDb...I'm gonna say this the spinoff page is a shame, regardless of what the "Help Desk" said. The guy didn't even elaborate in his response.

i neither like or hate Gretchen.. as far as i know.. i like PB.. haha..
a spin-off will not do any good to PB.. there will be no HAPPY Ending. if they're after the idea of hope and optimism, i suggest they rather put Mike and the rest of the gang inside a prison cell again.. after all, they're not looking at a possibility of Happy ending..
