New Spin-Off Details

As we know, there was talk going around that a new Prison Break spin-off would be made and the action would take place in a women's prison. A lot of people, myself included, wasn't too keen on the idea. As it turns out, there are no plans right now for the spin-off, but the extra two hours of Prison Break ARE being made and WILL air (although we're not sure when). Here's what E!Online has to say:

 

Fox canceled Prison Break a few weeks back, but as we speak, producers are casting and shooting two additional hours of the show.  What does that mean?  Are they finally creating that women's prison spin-off?  Is evil (but hot) Company babe Gretchen getting a spin-off?  Here's what we're hearing...

 

Despite what many of you fans have emailed, Fox is not cooking up a show around Gretchen, nor is it working on a ladies-behind-bars spin-off. The Prison Break creative team is finally making that much-discussed two-hour wrap-up film.

 

The two bonus eps are titled "The Old Ball and Chain" and "Free," and they take place a couple of days after the events of the season finale.  A studio source tells us exclusively that they're "a self-contained Prison Break adventure in which Michael faces the most challenging break ever."   And yes, Gretchen is involved, but so is the rest of the Prison Break cast you know and love.  No word yet about when or where the eps will premiere, but will you be watching when they appear?

Why in the world would they try a prison break for women if the one of the guys they have now has been cancelled. I am a fan of the show but there is no way I would watch it based on women. That story line seems redunant and hmmm familar?? Seems to me if they want to grab people's attention they would leave the show alone and let it air. All studio exes see is $$$ the fan base is huge and why mess with something people love..You would think Fox learned it's lesson after cancelling the hit Married with Childern ..but apparently not I just hope they do the show justice and let it end on a good note

This actually sounds like a good plan, especially if they wrap up the loose ends in Episode 22, and have a seperate story for 'Episodes 23 and 24'.

And judging by some spoilers, Michael will be trying to break Sara out of the same jail Gretchen is in, which if they write it correctly could help tie up loose ends but also open up the option of a spinoff in the future.

Overall good choice on the network's behalf.

yea me 2 prisons break shud hav a happy ending with scofield n sara getting married n livin happily ever after n burrows livin happy with his son...n mohaon getting bak with is wife...n sucre gettin bak with his girlfren n baby!!! HAPPY ENDING that wat shud happen

I THINK IT SUCKS PRISON BREAK IS COMING TO AN END... & I SEEN THIS ON IMDB THEY SAY THAT THEIR MAKING PRISON BREAK: THE GRETCHEN MORGAN FILES... I JUST WANT PRISON BREAK TO HAVE A GOOD ENDING
