Agent Todd Wheatley & Barry Connors

 

Federal Agent Wheatley and Barry meet up in Georgia. Wheatley is response for putting Barry's wife "Theresa" in prison (although Wheatley insists that the State of Georgia really put here there). Wheatley warns Barry not to do anything to "revoke" Theresa's sentence, otherwise she would get hurt. He says that the only way she's getting out of prison is to serve her time. Wheatley tells Barry he's not smarter than him and he's not going to be getting Theresa out of prison his watch.

 

As it turns out, Barry has put together a wall with information on a prison escape and Wheatley is viewing it. Barry insists that he's put all this information together because Warden Simms won't let him see his wife. So he hoped that if he could point out security lapses in the prison to her, she might allow him a visit. Wheatley asks if Barry found any lapses, but Barry says the prison is airtight. A man named Lance is also in the room (I think he's Barry's brother).

 

Blue Phillips (Lawyer), Barry, Lance and Scott

 

Barry is upset that the Warden still won't let him see his wife. Blue says that Theresa has a right to visitation and he'll talk to a judge about it. Scott asks if Blue can argue that Theresa killed a woman named Gail in self-defence. Blue plays a video of Gail's death. It shows Theresa firing a gun and Blue doesn't think the video will help her. Lance says that Gail worked for the Company, but Blue says that Gail hid her true identity and a judge won't buy Lance's argument. He says that Theresa killed the one person who could exonerate her. Blue tells Barry that Theresa is looking at 25 years to life in prison.

Theresa, Prison Guard (Cowler) and "Daddy"

 

Theresa is in pain in prison and tells Cowler she needs to be brought to the infirmary She says she's suffering from rat poisoning. Cowler isn't buying it, but Theresa says she and her baby need the help. A tough inmate "Daddy" walks up and helps convince Cowler to bring Theresa to the infirmary.

 

Gretchen and Cowler

 

Gretchen tells Cowler that she used to make a lot of money on the outside for "getting things done" and there are still things she needs. Gretchen is prepared to seduce Cowler for a favor.

 

Daddy and Theresa

 

Daddy visits Theresa in the infirmary. Daddy offers Theresa help, but she insists that she can take care of herself. Theresa tells Daddy that she has a husband.

 

Theresa and Prison Doctor

 

The doctor tells Theresa that they were able to stop the effects of the rat poison in time and that she and the baby will be fine. Theresa is relieved. The doctor is worried about the fact that Theresa was attacked (she has bruises on her face), but Theresa brushes it off. Theresa asks if she'll deliver her baby in the prison, but the doctor says that when the time comes, she'll be transported to a hospital. She'll be able to spend 30 minutes with her baby and then the baby will be taken away and Theresa will return to the prison. The doctor realizes that Theresa will be depressed and suggests she just pretend she's a surrogate.

 

Agent Wheatley and Warden Simms

 

Simms is upset that the County sent her a prisoner who's the wife of an escape artist, so Wheatley came to tell her personally. Simms wants to know what she's dealing with and insists that no one has ever successfully escaped from her prison. Wheatley wants Simms to ensure that Theresa stays in prison, for both of their sakes.

 

Barry and Warden Simms

 

Barry has barged into Simms' office, demanding a meeting. He is extremely upset that someone poisoned Theresa and wants her to have additional security until they can figure out who did it. Barry is upset that Simms isn't taking any steps to protect Theresa. He asks her to transfer Theresa to another facility, but Simms won't agree. So Barry asks for her to send his wife to Segregated Housing. Simms asks Barry if he knows something about the structural integrity of the SHU, but Barry plays dumb. Simms tell him she knows who he is, but Barry says he just wants to keep his wife alive, especially since she's pregnant.
