Photos of Wentworth on SVU
Posted On Tuesday July 07 2009 by ClarissaIt's been so long since I posted Wentworth Miller photos, haven't I? Well, I've got a teensy present for you: two behind the scenes photos from his appearance on Law & Order: SVU, which will be airing on September 23, 2009. Click the photo below to view both photos.
Wentworth Miller to Guest on Law & Order: SVU
Posted On Wednesday July 01 2009 by Clarissa
I love Law & Order: SVU. Thanks to daily re-runs, I have literally seen every single episode of this long-running show. So to hear that Wentworth Miller will be guest starring on the Fall season premiere episode on September 23 is great news.
Wentworth will be playing a cop who saves a rape victim and also interacts with the show's two main characters, played by Mariksa Hargitay and Chris Meloni.
I remember when Marshall Allman (LJ Burrows) guest starred on SVU a while ago. He played a teenage pedophile and it was a really good episode. The kid has some good acting range.
Thanks to reader Aidan B. for passing this information onto me.

Robert Knepper Joins Heroes
Posted On Saturday June 06 2009 by Clarissa
It looks like Heroes, which used to be an awesome show back in season 1, but has recently lost its way, is going to get a major boost. Robert Knepper (T-Bag) will be joining the show in the fall as a villain. What a fantastic idea. Other than Sylar (played by the talented Zachary Quinto), Knepper is fantastic at playing evil, creepy characters. So, maybe all you T-Bag fans should start watching Heroes in the fall. Here's what the Hollywood Reporter has to say about his new character:
Robert Knepper continues his villainous streak. Coming off a role as bad guy Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell on Fox's "Prison Break," Knepper has been tapped as the new lead villain on NBC's "Heroes" next season.
In at least six episodes of the series' fourth season, Knepper will play Samuel, a Jim Jones type -- charismatic but evil, with a twisted sense of humor -- who will veer into the lives of all heroes. The character had been referred to as "Carnival Barker" in the series breakdown released last month.
"Heroes" is slated to return in the fall for a "Lost"-style all-original run in a new time slot at 8 p.m. on Mondays. The sci-fi drama -- which enjoys a strong online following -- will share its time period with another fan favorite, "Chuck," which will take over in midseason.Production on the UMS-produced "Heroes" is scheduled to begin later this week.
Knepper is perhaps best known for playing a character on "Prison Break" that viewers loved to hate -- T-Bag, a murderer, rapist and supremacist. On the bigscreen, he was most recently seen in "Transporter 3" and "The Day the Earth Stood Still."

Prison Break Video Game - Fall 2009?
Posted On Friday May 29 2009 by ClarissaAlot of people have written to me about the defunct Prison Break video game that was supposed to be released last year. That was apparently cancelled, but it looks like the game is being ressurected and may be released this Fall. No big details yet. I'm not even sure if this is meant to be a PC game or something for a console (ie. Playstation, X-Box, etc). We will post more details when we know them, but in the meantime, here's an article about how and why the game was given a second chance:
"Prison Break" may be done on TV, but the video game is getting a second chance.
Before the series was killed by Fox this year at the end of its fourth season, the Prison Break video game was canceled last fall by Brash Entertainment, the now defunct publisher of games based on movie and TV licenses.
But Slovenia-based developer Zootfly, which was producing the game for Brash, decided to fund the project to completion itself. It has just signed a deal with publisher Deep Silver, part of Britain-based Koch Media, to release Prison Break this fall.
"The cancellation was a blessing in disguise because we got to spend more time on the key gameplay features and get rid of the half-baked ideas Brash management pushed on us," Zootfly CEO Bostjan Troha said on the phone from Slovenia.
Releasing a licensed video game when the property on which it's based no longer exists is a difficult business proposition, but Troha said he's counting on the show's loyal fan base, many of whom protested its death, to support the title. The CEO said he's still working with Fox to secure some of the show's actors to do voice work.
Prison Break and Where the Wild Things Are, which is set for release this fall but is still searching for a publisher, are the last of Brash's games far enough along in production that they'll eventually see the light of day.

Recap Posted: The Final Break
Posted On Monday May 25 2009 by Clarissa
And now, the end is near. And so I face the final curtain. My friends, I'll say it clear, I'll state my case..... Sorry! I'm getting so nostalgic right now I'm actually listening to Frank Sinatra sing "My Way". I have watched The Final Break episodes (thank you to everyone who sent me information!) and I have a recap.
I don't know where to start. The episode takes place shortly after the group was exonerated in the finale. Sara gets arrested for killing Christina Scofield and gets sent to a prison, which just so happens to house Gretchen, Pad Man and T-Bag. On the outside, Michael, Mahone, Sucre and Lincoln quickly realize that their only hope to protect Sara is to break her out. Because this is Prison Break, OK? Not Prison Run. Not Prison Take Down the Company. Prison BREAK.
Unfortunately, the group is hampered by crazy inmates, a mean Warden and an annoying FBI agent. But Michael comes up with a plan (two plans, actually). Unlike his earlier plans, this one involves a very large sacrifice (well, a sacrifice that doesn't involve other people). I'm not spoiling you all to reveal that Michael dies right? We all saw his grave in the finale. Only this time, we learn how and why. And it's sad. But in the end, I'm a little less upset than I was before.

New Show & Fansite - Flash Forward
Posted On Sunday May 24 2009 by ClarissaFrom the people who brought you the Prison Break, Lost and Heroes fansites, comes a new fansite for a brand new show: Flash Forward. Flashforward will begin airing on ABC in Fall 2009. We will be starting a brand new Flash Forward fansite over the summer. Once it is up, we will annouce it here. In the meantime, I wanted to introduce everyone to the show, because we do have some information about the plot and several promos already.
Based on the book by Robert J. Sawyer, the network is describing the plot of the show as follows: When a mysterious event causes the entire world to black out, humanity is given a glimpse into its near future, and every man, woman, and child is forced to come to grips with whether their destinies can be avoided or fulfilled. Adapting award-winning author Robert J. Sawyer's revolutionary novel, executive producers David S. Goyer (visionary co-writer of "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight") and Brannon Braga ("24," "Star Trek: Enterprise") invite you to embark on a journey to answer the question, "if you knew what your future held, what would you do?"
"Flash Forward" stars Joseph Fiennes as Mark Benford, John Cho as Demetri Noh, Jack Davenport as Lloyd Simcoe, Sonya Walger as Olivia Benford, Courtney B. Vance as Stan Wedeck, Brian O'Byrne as Aaron Stark, Christine Woods as Janis Hawk, Zachary Knighton as Bryce Varley, and Peyton List as Nicole.
ABC originally aired mysterious advertisements during Lost, showing flashes of people's futures and asking viewers "what did you see?".

Clarissa's Not Buying What You're Selling, Matt Olmstead
Posted On Thursday May 21 2009 by ClarissaSo, by now I'm sure you all know I'm not pleased with Michael dying at the end of Prison Break. I've been fighting about it with my co-workers since Tuesday. My co-worker Paul feels that it ended the way it should have. My co-worker Rose says that while she was sad at the ending, it somehow made the show more real. Obviously, my co-workers are idiots and I don't listen to anything they say.
After the finale, executive producer Matt Olmstead, sat down with EW and TV Guide. I'm going to combine both of these interviews in one post because they're very similiar. At the bottom of the post is my take on it.
Matt Olmstead: At the beginning of this season, we had a debate about it. I was on NYPD Blue and I came on during Season 6, which was Jimmy Smits' last arc - and it was some of the best TV ever. They had the thought that when a character goes that's beloved, if you drop a safe on his head, the audience is going to hate you, because they haven't had a chance to mourn. So let's show up early that the character has a [health] problem. [NYPD Blue creator] David [Milch] did it brilliantly [with Smits' character dying of heart failure], and I always remembered that. So when we met with the writers after the [WGA] strike, we asked ourselves: Is Michael going to last? Either way, let's [give him] a nosebleed in Episode 1. That way we can kind of suggest that something's up, and it also gives us the opportunity to play some scenes - if we want to go down this road - where Sara can mourn it, Lincoln's aware of it, and the audience is aware of it. Then they too have a chance to mourn the loss.
