Wentworth Miller Fans Rejoice – The Hollywood Heartthrob Signs for Prison Breaks 5th Season

Wentworth Miller Fans Rejoice - The Hollywood Heartthrob Signs for Prison Breaks 5th Season

When Michael sacrificed himself in the Season 4 finale of Prison Break, fans hearts were broken all over the world. Now six years later after much speculation, the cult show is coming back to our screens and Miller is apparently coming back with it. The star has signed alongside his onscreen brother Dominic Purcell to return but it has left one huge question for fans...How will the writers explain the devastating death of Miller's character at the end of the last season?

Fans offer their own theories on how it will play out

The news of Wentworth's return has caused much speculation as to what actually happened at the end of season 4. The leading theory is that Michael faked his death. To some this is unrealistic as it would mean he didn't actually let his family know he was alive in the years following. It does seem unlikely for the character we've come to know and love. However, it isn't the first time this storyline has been used so it does seem to be the most likely scenario.

The other plotline fans have come up with is that the voltage wasn't actually high enough to kill him. So instead he's been in a coma. This would explain the level of time he's been away, but still seems like a big leap.

The producers of the show have stated when the idea was presented to them it did seem very believable and logical. Whatever happens, the news that Michael and Lincoln are going to be back on our TV screens is extremely good news and well worth tuning in for.

A release date hasn't been given yet, all we know is that it is definitely happening. It will be reportedly returning to our screens in 2016.

We're currently working on a complete revamp of the site ready for 2016. So stay tuned for all of the latest Prison break news and gossip.

Prison Break Reunion in Rumoured Development

Posted On Monday June 08 2015 by alex

Just months after Fox confirmed it was open to talks about a potential Prison Break return, new rumours speculate the show is now in development. TV Line claims the hit network is currently putting together 12 brand new episodes of the cult TV show. If this is true, fans could soon see Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller once again partner up as Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield.

How will the revival pan out?

Details of how the revival series will pan out are sketchy at best. After Michael Scofield came to an untimely end in the finale back in 2009, it remains a mystery how his character will now fit in to the new mini-series. Of course, it isn't entirely unrealistic to see his character come back from the dead. Stranger things have definitely happened!

Revival would produce a definite ending

If the rumours are true and the Prison Break revival is in development, it brings both good and bad news. The chance to see the likes of Miller on our screens once more is definitely joyful news, so what about the bad news? Well, the revival series will bring a definite end to the show. Once it's done there will be no more episodes to follow.

The time of revivals

It was actually Miller himself who pitched the idea of a Prison Break revival to Fox. The network apparently saw a lot of potential in the idea and that is how the revival mini-series came about. It isn't the first series that would be revived by the network. It has recently revived hit shows such as ‘The X-Files', ‘Twin Peaks, Heroes and Full House. The network knows what its fans want and right now that is revivals of their favourite shows.

So when will the Prison Break revival hit our screens? Unfortunately that's news that we are all still waiting for.

Could Prison Break Soon Be Back On Our Screens?

Posted On Thursday January 22 2015 by alex

Since it came to a crushing end in 2009, fans of Prison Break have been watching and waiting; desperate for news of its return. It's been almost six long years since we saw the devastatingly handsome Wentworth Miller trying to fight his way out of a conspiracy that tried to kill his brother. However, the news we have all been waiting for has finally arrived as Fox confirm they are open to talks of the show's return.

Screenshots - Prison Break Game

Posted On Friday October 23 2009 by Clarissa

We told you a while ago that a company was making a Prison Break video game and now we have additional information, including screenshots!

The release date for the game isn't set, but we do know that it will be available for the PC, PS3 and X-Box 360. In this case, you don't be playing as Michael though. The company has released this description:

"The protagonist of the "Prison Break" game is Company agent Tom Paxton. He is sent to the Fox River State Penitentiary to find out why Michael Scofield (the hero of the TV series), a man without a previous criminal record, became a bank robber. The storyline runs parallel to the first season of "Prison Break": Paxton encounters several characters from the series and experiences key events from his own perspective."

You can see from the photo below that Linc will show up (and what a great likeness of Dominic Purcell that is!). When I first saw the photos I didn't realize we would be playing someone who isn't Michael, so I took one look at the guy's muscles and was all " offence to Wentworth (who you know I love), but that so doesn't not look like him". I guess we should expect to see more familiar characters beyond Linc since the game is supposed to take place in season 1, but no official word on that yet.

In the meantime, click the photos below to view all 15 screenshots in our picture gallery (you can also learn more at the game's official site). Check back later for more information!

Sneak Peak Video: Wentworth on SVU

Posted On Tuesday September 08 2009 by Clarissa

Below is a sneak peak for Wentworth's appearance on the season 11 premiere episode of Law & Order: SVU. Check out the Scofield Whisper at the beginning of the video! I've missed that.

Synopsis for Wentworth's SVU Appearance

Posted On Sunday August 30 2009 by Clarissa

NBC has released the official synopsis for the season premiere of Law and Order: SVU, which also happens to be the episode that Wentworth Miller will be guest starring. Turns out it's the season 11 premiere:

Officer Nate Kendall (Guest Star Wentworth Miller) is called in to help Detectives Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) solve a series of rape cases along with executive ADA Sonya Paxton (Guest Star Christine Lahti).

Officer Nate Kendall (guest star Wentworth Miller) aids a woman in trouble and becomes roped into solving a rape case. While Detectives Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) and Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) believe that Kendall is not right for the case due to his unstable personality, Executive ADA Sonya Paxton (guest star Christine Lahti) joins the team, bringing evidence of a common thread among three other rape cases. With Paxton's help, the team might expose a serial rapist. Also starring: Richard Belzer (Detective John Much), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Tamara Tunie (Dr. Melinda Warner), and B.D. Wong (Dr. George Huang).

Mark Wednesday, September 23 (at 9:00 p.m.) in your calendars, because that's the night we'll see Went back on TV again (oh, yeah, and SVU will be premiering....I love the show even without Went).

Prison Break Writers to Create New Show

Posted On Friday August 21 2009 by Clarissa

Former Prison Break writers/producers Matt Olmstead and Nick Santora are working on developing a new show for Fox. According to Variety, the show is called "Break Out Kings," and is described as "a drama project revolving around ex-fugitives who are recruited to work as U.S. marshals." Variety only gives a few more details about the show:

Network has given the 20th Century Fox TV project a script order with a hefty penalty attached if it doesn't go to pilot. Olmstead and Santora penned the pilot. Gavin Hood, helmer of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," is attached to direct and exec produce.

Project is described as a procedural based in Gotham, but the team will move around the country as it works on specific cases.

Olmstead was the showrunner and exec producer of "Prison Break" for its four-season run on Fox. Santora was a co-exec producer on the show.

Deleted Scene from "The Final Break"

A deleted scene, which is likely featured on the Prison Break: The Final Break DVD has sprung up. It's a sweet and heartbreaking scene between Alex Mahone and his ex-wife Pam. He finds her again in Chicago only to see that she has moved on. I'm guessing this is what leads to him sending her a birthday card in the series finale episode.
